eJournalPress offers three options for Small Journals (less than 250 submissions per year). Each of the following three options is a pre-packaged version of the EJPress system that manages the peer review process from manuscript submission through acceptance. Simple Review System (SRS) - designed for two-tier journals. This package is for journals with workflows involving Editor(s) and Reviewers but no Associate Editor.

Complex Review System - Editor (CRS-E) - designed for three-tier journals where the Editor makes the final decision on each manuscript. This package is for journals with workflows involving Editor(s), Associate Editors and Reviewers.

Complex Review System - Associate Editor (CRS-AE) - designed for three-tier journals where an Associate Editor makes the final decision on each manuscript. This package is for journals with workflows involving Editor(s), Associate Editors and Reviewers.

The following restrictions apply to journals wishing to purchase SRS, CRS-E, or CRS-AE:

Journal Eligibility - This no-setup fee version is only available to journals who have less than 250 submissions per year.

Configuration - With the exception of a short site-setup questionnaire, all system configurations are preset. If the journal needs to deviate from the standard configurations, they will need to purchase the EJPress system.

Data Loading - Users of the SRS, CRS, or CRS-AE package will be allowed to make a one-time person data load into the system during setup. All person data must be provided in this Excel format. All entries must have at least a last name and unique email address and/or telephone number in order to load properly.

Contract - There is one standard contract. If the journal needs to deviate in any way from the standard contract, they will need to purchase the EJPress system.

Training - Four hours of consulting time are supplied for training.

Telephone/Email Support - Telephone and email support is provided "second-tier" by eJournalPress to the Journal Staff. Journal Staff are in turn responsible for providing support to Editors, Reviewers and Authors. eJournalPress' "second-tier" support is unlimited in the first 45 days after a site is "live." After this time period, support is limited to 5 hours per month.

Online Support - Online help is supplied via an online KnowledgeBase. Journal Staff, Editors, Reviewers, and Authors can search for answers to common questions. The Journal Staff can also use this facility to ask new questions.

Optional Additional Support - All consulting time needed for site setup and maintenance is included in the per-manuscript-submission fee. However, if desired, optional additional support may be purchased at our standard hourly rate of $150/hour.

Setup Fees - There is NO setup fee for this model.

Submission Fees - $25 per submitted manuscript.
